Screenprinting
A printing process that uses mesh that allows ink or dye to pass through, except where an impermeable stencil is created to block that from happening. A squeegee is moved across the screen to fill the mesh, then a second stroke to deposit the ink on your substrate. Each color utilizes its own screen.
Screens with mesh
Aluminum or wooden frames with varying holes per square inch. The mesh density will vary based on the detail of your design and type of ink used.
Inks
The ink used for apparel is spread on the substrate then heated to specified temperatures in an oven to cure.
The Press
Manual or automatic presses are used to hold your screens. The substrate is help in place to allow for precision placement of the ink from all of the screens.
Chemicals
Various chemicals are used during the process of creation to reclamation. We strive to use green products and good hosts to our environment.
